You know that really irritating feeling you get when you're little sibling is asking questions at the speed of 100mph? The slight fire feeling when you hear your sister's dog barking at the top of its lungs? The annoyance that turns to anger when your sister gets onto you for having an "attitude" when conversing about the dog and who's to take care of it when she's at work? You know that feeling?
Okay so maybe not to "the-T", but you get my point. There was that adrenaline rush beginning to boil up when the conversation started... Seeing as it started off wrong. She wasn't in the best mood to begin with. Then it just took off from there... The only thing stopping us from literally yelling at each other, was the peacemaker figure standing in our doorway... Our mother.
When I say "peacemaker" I mean she forces us to cool down and bite our tongues. Her presence says "I will not tolerate any pointless bickering" but sometimes is translated to this "you say another word on the subject and I'm taking both of your phones!". You know, that kind of peacemaker.
Her methods are crazy though... But totally make sense. That's exactly why I hate them, but like them at the same time... Because without them, me and my sister would be enemies. Where as, at this moment we don't necessarily like each other, we aren't enemies. So I guess her methods were for the better.
I remember how we used to fight. It was terrible. In the end, we became the closest friends. Until now of course. But give it time... Like for instance, when she gets out of the shower... I'm going to apologize... Even though I was totally and completely right on the spoken subject... I guess I did give off a bad vibe myself from a full day of tolerance... If that's what you'd call it. Anyways, I know nothing will be right between us if I don't. Because she's not particularly fond of apologies. And it's a petty subject. The worst part was my over-bearing need to justify myself to her. To prove my point. But it's not worth the time, breath, and aggravation. And it's not worth the distance.
So here goes nothing...
